Info Post
A single Crossbill at Gelli today eventually left the larch trees it was feeding in and headed north. Also several small parties of sand martins drifting north. Stock doves were vocal in a few places, all at sites they seem to use every year. A good day for raptors with up to 15 buzzards in a thermal (at one point 27 in the air at once). Other raptor species seen in this area were sparrowhawk, goshawk, peregrine, kite, merlin and a passage kestrel flying high and very direct to the north west. Noticably loads more chiffchaffs today singing away.
