Thanks to those who have made contact concerning the image of scapular feathers etc (found last weekend close to a footpath at Boherston Lakes). I think the general consensus is a diver sp. A good candidate is great-northern the base colour of the feathers is quite dark and the spots are very pronounced compared with another potential candidate RTD. What ever, it is almost certainly the work of a fox who may have dragged it some distance from where it was originally - who knows? Somewhere there will be the other remains!

As for Derek's feather - I'm not sure about that one, hopefully someone does.

Chiffchaffs singing at Stackpole again today and despite the rainfall, small numbers of sand martins and a couple of swallows passed through as the weather deteriorated.
