To make a change from Angle I headed a little further West this morning to The Gann where things were pretty quiet on the pools - 1 Redshank, 1 Greenshank, 2 Little Egrets and a mob of Great Black Backed Gulls. On the beach with the tide just dropping there was a small group of resting waders - 15 Dunlin, 12 Ringed Plover and a Turnstone.Up at a very windswept Dale Airfield a pretty thorough look round produced the grand total of 1 Wheatear and 4 Curlew. Something good has got to turn up there soon with all these strong westerlies!
