Morning keeps breaking,

Heaven only knows how the man who could have slept for Britain in his youth now relishes the dawn, but I really empathised with J&M-B 's "Dawn delivers" posting . Of course the dogs and chickens dont allow for sleep-ins but as eight o clock is dawn and I can sit in bed for a moment or two and (Lord help me, I do have bins by the side of my bed), as the eastern sky brightened, this morning brought a bounty. Not an easily identified bounty as they were flocking in out of the eastern sun but yes , definately Chaffinches , Starlings, Filedfares and Redwings as well as one small flock of blackbirds. Just, you will understand, as a native guide, I joined Rich Crossen on his northern twitch and caught up with the Spoonbill, (and Karen who told us more about its stay) Nice birdy way to end a day looking at Rich's Pic's , allthingsgood, walrus.
