I knew I was in luck when I spotted the Spoonbill close in to the Iron Bridge at Newport as I drove up this afternoon. The light was great and the bird posed beautifully as it fed close by. After 20 minutes or so it flew off to join the gulls on the mud a little off. For more photos of this splendid bird click here
