The 2009 BirdTrack graph for Goldcrest is worth a look:-
http://blx1.bto.org/bt-dailyresults/results/s424-20-09.html
The 2009 percentage (of Goldcrest recorded in full species lists) values are consistently at levels around 50% of those recorded in either 2008 and 2007. This seems to have persisted throughout all months of 2009, and is quite unlike the BirdTrack graphs for Wren or Long-tailed Tit (species thought likely to have been hit by the relative severity of last winter) which seem to have recovered to '08 and '07 levels after the breeding season.
