As I write a pair of Tawney Owls are calling nearby and I saw one coming up the lane this evening, 23 bats were also almost causing me to crash as I tried to accurately count them in our lane. Field fares and Redwings seen earlier. Also seen at Strumble a nice female/ juv Merlin. Malcolm also sent a picture of the Spoonbill at Newport, taken yesterday.
