An interesting bird mid afternoon in the Bocca valley (SM732282) was probably a Bobolink but it skulked off before a definite ID could be made and wasnt seen again. Overall appearance was of a large well marked Aquatic warbler. A Reed Bunting was also in the same willows which provided a good contrast in size with the Bobolink which was clearly bigger. With the bird on Skomer today this area is worth a look again tomorrow.
Also today, 2 Pied Flycatchers near the Youth Hostel and 2 Red Kites over Porthclais. Otherwise quiet except for noticeable movements of Blue Tits, Swallows and Chaffinches.
