Ty - Rhug is just south of the New Inn cross-roads on the H'west to Cardigan road.
Seen again by Mike until c930 this am, we watched the bird until c1245 & still showing from gate to clearfell area, early pm (Steve B.)
Jon & I walked down the track through the clearfell area & did not see the bird. -as people y'day.
We did see the bird to the south of the track when we had returned to our cars left at the locked gate. The shrike was active moving between perches always showing well but reasonably distant.
We suggest that a thorough scan from the gate across the clearfell area is the best way of finding the bird. looking either to the north of the track - where Mike picks it up, or south of the track where showing for us.
As we keep being asked if it is the Llys-y-fran bird, on the map it is 5 km from the inlet where we saw it at the resr. to Ty - Rhug.
