A rare day out for 3 Pembs. Birders
Dave, Paul & I had an excellent days late winter birding today... going north for a change.

World's End, Denbigh;-
After some initial, distant, brief views in a tree then in flight of 3 male Black Grouse, & 1 female; we had a party on the horizon of no less than 18 males...unbelievable, a number none of us had imagined that we could see.!!
We also saw 4 Red Grouse in this moorland part of North Wales.
Plenty of Siskins & Crossbills around the trees.

Dolgellau;-
2 churchyards visited, 1 female Hawfinch seen at one, but near the 2nd site incredible views of 13 Hawfinches perched on top of some bare bushes, preening & looking stunning, particularly the breeding plumage males.

On the way back;-
a look for a reported Gt. White Egret nr. Newtown, but only 2 Little Egrets & a pair of Goosander the highlights. Plenty of Red Kites in the air, on the way to Newquay, but by the time we arrived most gulls had left the fish factory to go to roost.
