Paul G & I had a bit of a tour around today, dodging showers, and managed the following:
Sandy Haven - 3 Little Egrets in a field with cattle (!), 2 Med Gulls (ad&2ndW) in a different field - the adult had a white ring on it's left leg but not read. It or another on the pill just after. No sign of any Spotted Redshanks on the pill, but lovely views of an otter fishing near the top end and then trotting off over the saltmarsh into the hedge on the E side.
Bicton Res - 7 Tufted Duck.
Gelliswick - a few gulls.
Milford Docks - a few gulls.
Castle Pill - Greenshank & Little Egret.
Llandstadwell - a few gulls!
Guildford Pill, Llangwm - Spotted Redshank (yey!)
Llangwm - adult Med Gull in sheep field with BHGs.
Later this afternoon I popped to Dale. 17 pale bellied Brents beside the pool, one sporting a ring on each leg: left yellow with black "P", right pale green with black "P" and a metal ring above (Richard could you submit this to your Brent contact? - cheers). Also 5 adult Med Gulls in the roost (which was scattered in 3 groups around Dale Roads) and to finish a lovely Barn Owl hunting just north from Mullock Bridge.
Various wanderings
