Info Post
A 45 minute scour of the area around Kete was very productive - a first-winter female Ring Ouzel adjacent to the coast path close to Little Castle Point (approx. SM799039 - in the small quarry like gully), a Black Redstart on Kete House & 3 Chiffchaffs in the garden there, and possibly as many as 200 Meadow Pipits in grassy fields between the houses at Kete and the coast path to the west - I don't recall ever seeing fields so alive with pipits. Difficult to see them on the ground (unless perched on fences), but no unusual calls were heard. Will be looking there again tomorrow morning! Later Derek had 2 Black Reds, and saw the Ring Ouzel briefly.

On Thursday a Barn Owl drifted over the A4076 at the top of Pope Hill (by Lawrence Landfill) at 8pm. Always a delight.
