Info Post
John's impressive count of 44 Tufted Ducks at Pembroke Mill Pond, which no doubt Bob & Annie can put in context with WeBS data, reminds me to alert you to be vigilent when checking diving ducks, particulary Tufted/Scaup types. The second Lesser Scaup for Wales, a young female, was identified recently at Eglwys Nunydd Reservoir in Port Talbot (see http://goweros.blogspot.com/) and the first, a male, is still around Cardiff. Pembrokeshire is surely overdue one of these subtle aythyas, so check those Tufties very carefully!!
