As is the daily norm at the moment, a gathering in Kingfisher Hide c1730 to wait...........
& wait.....
18:23 a Bittern glides in from above & behind the hide, & slowly flies & lands in the back right of the reed bed. Within a couple of minutes the Bittern is up over the reeds & hide chasing 2 Carrion Crows across the old railway line.. (you have to rush out the hide to catch this), circling around & then back over the hide to it's usual roosting area 18:31....absolutely amazing..!!

Great to see our New Skomer Warden Chris Taylor & his Assistant Warden Jerry in (& out) of the hide to witness the Bittern tonight, all Pembs birders wish them a great start tomorrow on Skomer.
