Yesterday at Llawhaden a newly fledged collared dove was sitting in the the road waiting to be run down or consumed by a cat, so it was carefully placed on top of the hedge, where it could at least become a meal for a kite or sparrowhawk - far more dignified!

A merlin just in front of the car at Canaston bridge roundabout today hot on the heels of what looked liked a reed bunting, though it's speed and panic stricken aerial manouevres made identification difficult, without crashing the car.
