More on the Gann Brents

Careful counting (WEBS!) revealed 48 Brents today - not quite up to the numbers Brian had yesterday. One had colour rings - Orange Left, White Right, but I couldn't read the letters - needed a) better eyesight b) better telecope c) better fieldcraft - they were easily spooked into the water.

And, as Dave says, definitely signs of spring - as I went out to look at the moth trap this morning the first Chiffchaff of the year was singing in the garden, and there was another one at Mullock Bridge later.
