Info Post
Shelduck, 4 juveniles at Jewsons doing very well, 9 juv's on the main estuary about a week younger.
30 Black headed Gulls around the estuary this evening, including the 1st juvenile of the year, all pulling worms out the mud - nearly as effectively as the Lougher Est Gull-billed Tern, which has moved somewhere....

Today a final visit was made to a new nest box scheme in Ffynone Wood.
Organised by Wendy J with the woodland management and a local school.  Only 1 pair of Pied Flycatchers used a box this year, and they failed to get past 4 eggs stage.

Nice to prove a  breeding  attempt at this historical site in Pembs -- the 1st proved breeding site in the county back  in 1978.
