Info Post
I walked around the Deer Park for a good hour this evening grumbling about uncorroborated reports on Birdguides. No self-respecting Starling, of whatever colour, would be silly enough to hang around the Deer Park in the gale (and rain) that has swept across Martins Haven all day. So I was going to write a short note about the Linnet chicks that have all fledged, and the flock of 12 Chough. Until, at 8.45 this evening, pudding finished and thinking about coffee, we looked out of the window to see a full adult Rose-coloured Starling sitting on the gorse 15 yards away. We had time enough to get the scope out, so 6 other witnesses. Magic.
