After such a wet, cold April I was pleased to see a juvenile Dartford Warbler together with one adult at a regular site in the south of the county this morning. The photo is from spring 3 years ago at the same site showing that they have stayed faithful to the area.
Just a reminder that it is useful to alert the authorities in Pembrokeshire which manage habitat in which Dartford Warblers breed, to e.g., prevent gorse burning at inappropriate times. Jon Green, County Bird Recorder, will forward the information so please send details of breeding pairs to Jon at jonrg@tiscali.co.uk with a six figure grid reference.
