In the woods behind the Castle at Manorbier this morning loads of bird song including Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff and Blackcap. Also an unexpected female Pied Flycatcher. 11 Wheatear in one field. In bushes near the beach a Lesser Whitethroat, whislt at sea some Gannets and a few auks close in and 18 Whimbrel flew past. A Kestrel flew across the bay.
At St Govans bumped into John and Marion and here there were 2 Common Whitethroat, 10+ Wheatear, lots of Willow/Chiffs, 3 Chough and a Kestrel.
Round at Stack Rocks not an auk to be seen on the stacks and only a very few on the sea.
