Migrants seen during FSC bird course

On Monday 21st April Cuckoo at Stackpole and also on 26th at Orielton. Swifts (3+) over Bosherston Lakes on 25th where a pair of goosander still present. At Canaston no wood warblers on 24th but present by 26th. No sign of pied flycs or lesser spotted woodpecker though in Minwear/Blackpool Mill area. Reed warblers in reed beds at Bosherston and Slebech from at least 25th. Few sedge warblers around than expected but they are present in many places. Garden warblers at Llangloffan Fen and also there on 26th a fine female marsh harrier heading west up the valley - feeding/flying low over the fen at 1430 hrs. Cettis heard west of the Pont Llangloffan Bridge. Though no cuckoos heard here or at Dowrog this afternoon.
