After a great start to the weekend with the Cattle egret on Friday, I was looking forward to seeing all sorts of passerines, waders, etc. However somewhat disappointed I found myself on a cold boulder staring through my scope this evening at the incoming tide at the Gann.
The highlight being, 6 Meds, (all adults) 10 LITTLE Egrets, 18 Turnstones, 3 Dunlin.
Perhaps with an unsettled week forecast there`s always the chance that something will be blown in on the SW winds, that I might actually get the chance to see. More Laughing Gulls? Another Blackpoll? Oh the joys of birding........
Great Expectations...?
