Summers not yet over
Info Post
Despite the rather chilly NE winds a Swallow was working its way NW at Llandewi Velfrey today. The number of winter migrants has been gradually increasing in the Lampeter Vale with a big influx of Woodpigeons (600) on Tuesday and Fieldfares, Redwings, Song thrushes and Blackbirds feeding on the Hawthorn berries. Still not huge numbers of winter thrushes compared to some years but the weather system has been unfavourable for Scandinavian migrants heading SW until the last few days. We should get more arriving over the next week.
