Info Post
News from Dave Boyle on Skomer - Had one of the best morning's birding on Skomer I've ever had today, nothing rare but a good movement of finches and thrushes - it would have been even better if it wasn't so cold! Birds were coming in from the NW and heading east along the north coast towards the mainland - 2 Woodcocks, 295 Woodpigeons, 70 Skylark, 130 Blackbirds, 10 Fieldfares, 60 Redwings, 12 Song Thrushes, 310 Jackdaws, 1400 Starlings, 4850 Chaffinches, 13 Bramblings, 60 Greenfinches & 15 Siskins. Not much actually in the bushes, but they were blowing around a bit - 1 Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaffs and only our second Black Redstart of the autumn.
