Ty Rhyg 28th

At first light at least 300 redwings and 20 song thrushes moving south. Not many fieldfares at first but by mid-day there were large flocks totalling at least 700 birds passing over with just the odd redwing. Other species passing overhead were Blackbird (10), Brambling (4), crossbill (7), Bullfinch (6), Chaffinch (30+), Redpoll (2), Golden Plover (25), Snipe (8), Starling (400). In the scrub a Water Rail, a Blackcap and 20 Goldcrests.
