From Allan Hansen - There was a huge movement of many thousand Redwings,several hundred Fieldfare and some Mistle Thrushes over Westfield Pill and Neyland first thing this morning.In almost fifty years of birdwatching these are the largest movements I have ever witnessed. A wonderful spectacle.

Calling intermittently. Buzzard 1* circling (and calling) directly above the cottages in the half-light. Little Egret 1, Curlew 1 (heard but not seen), Cormorant 4, Jackdaw 300+ with flocks of 80+ departing the mud-bank roost and doing their best starling-swarm impersonations
