My quest to see as many Black Redstarts as possible in one day started off well with 4 around the house in St Florence early morning. I then embarked on a little tour of the south, ably assisted by the lovely Sarah and we totted up the following - 2 at Stackpole Centre, 2 at Bosherston, 2 near Merrion Camp, 2 at Warren, 5 at Castle Martin, 3 at Angle, 1 at Monkton, 1 (nice male) at Pembroke Dock, 2 at Milton. 24 in total!With a further 8 already reported today on the blog we now know how many Black redstarts there are in South Pembs....................Lots!
Richard Dobbins tells me that none have yet been reported from North Pembs.
