Following up on Dave B's comments from Skomer, we haven't had a single goldcrest on Ramsey this autumn either (in 08 we had 120 logged in Sept and Oct). Spring passage is always quieter but we only had 5 in Mar and April 09 compared with 46 in the same months in 08. Due to the cold winter perhaps?
Black redstart here yesterday plus one on Grassholm 2 days ago when we went out for the annual fledgling freeing session. 45 cut free this year.
