Info Post
Fishguard Harbour;-Black Guillemots.
Have spent some time watching these birds, it would appear they are now present in the harbour all the time . We have seen them out of the water on the wall/metalwork. For quite long spells, especially when feeding, both birds are on the water together. However, 1 bird flew over to below Fishguard Fort to feed this morning, whilst the other stayed Stena side.
Probably the easiest/ most reliable Black Guillemots that we have been able to observe!
(probably not breeding though.)

Outer breakwater;-
2 Chough flying towards Pen Anglas.

Nevern Est.;-
17 Black-headed Gulls this am.

Fortunes Frolic;-
17 Black-headed Gulls this am, (11 y'day)
1 Little Egret last Fri. 13/6.

Whinchats -- Brynberian Moor.
Paddy spent several hours y'day carrying out the most comprehensive survey(ever!) of the area for Whinchat. A minimum population of 8 breeding pairs was his findings for the area!
Clearly a very valuable effort & result!
