A visit to Stack Rocks in evening sunlight showed off the Guiilemot colony wonderfully yesterday - lots of activity on the stack and loads of birds on the sea. Gannets passing and many Manx Shearwaters heading west back to Skomer. (if you visit Stack Rocks you can check if the range is open on 01646662367)
Elsewhere in the south I have seen Dartford Warbler feeding young, Lesser Whitethroat and plenty of Whitethroats and Stonechats busy feeding young as well. A Red Kite over a freshly cut hay field in St Florence last Sunday was a good record this far south.
