Info Post
Whilst checking empty Kestrel boxes at Ty Rhyg today saw a family party of Crossbills with the young still being fed - I didnt know they bred this time of year. The Teal have six ducklings on the pond and Redpoll were everywhere. At least three broods of fledgling Tree Pipits and a cuckoo still around. There was a female Kestrel looking very tatty but no sign of a male so presumably they failed their breeding attempt. At Carn Ingli there was no sign of Whinchats at any of the former breeding areas so Brynberian is possibly the only definite breeding site in the county for this species.
