Info Post
Spent a day at Strumble today. I don't usually visit in August. We saw a Merlin near 'Bristgarn' farm on the way down to the head. Wind was a Nor westerly most of the day. I didn't do a serious head count of birds but we had 3 bonxies during the day plus 2 arctics (1 dark, 1 light phase) and a 3rd skua which may have been a long-tailed but not certain of ID. We had arctic, common and sandwich terns too. We saw at least 2 Balearics but other visiting birders had seen more before we arrived. We had a count of 3 sun fish.
