This evening;-
9+ Common Sandpipers at Jewsons & Kingfisher from St. Dogmaels Quay.
This morning;-
The ringing was only planned to be a short 2 hour session (before work), as conditions looked good for an acro' fall! --- continous easterlies, with mist this very early morning, and a good fall on the English East coast yesterday.
To complement the Aquatic Warbler, 3 Reed Warblers, & 18 Sedge Warblers, all new birds, no retraps.. but another Sedge Warbler control (X396778).
Most of the Sedge Warblers carrying fat, the heaviest 16.6 grams with a fat score 8 (out of 10). The Aquatic Warbler carrying little.
These were all caught in 2 nets in c30mins, I guess 100's of Sedge Warblers would have been a likely total for the marsh this morning.
