Info Post
Waders around today,
10+ Common Sandpipers & 1 Redshank at Jewsons, 1 Greenshank flying around the river early morning, & 2 Green Sandpipers around mallard hide at 9pm, but Green Sandpipers calling all evening from the marsh creeks.
2 Sandwich Terns from Patch this afternoon.

CES ringing this morning;-
Many warblers moving now, of 102 new birds this morning, c80 warblers, with 20+ each of Blackcap, Chiffchaff & Sedge Warbler. Still new Reed Warblers in double figures, also juvenile Marsh Tit & Kingfisher ringed.
(Teifi RG)

Sedge Warblers;-
Preparing for tomorrow (at a different site), a few more Sedge Warblers, presumed migrants, and no other species this evening, all new, all juveniles & all with increased body fat. The heaviest at 15.5g this evening, c 50% increase in body weight compared to normal, and I guess may be in a South coast England reed-bed by the morning ?

About a dozen Starlings came to roost in the reed-bed this evening.
(1st seen earlier in the week)

Moths;-
5 Brown veined & 1 Twin-spotted Wainscot the highlights, both species local in South Wales reed-beds. I think the T-s Wainscot would be a new moth for Ceredigion? (if the traps electrics reached further from the generator!)
