Info Post
From Gill Lewis - I saw a party of 6 Swifts  sweeping low over Caerbwdi yesterday morning, 1 May, about 10.30am . I was down by the bridge near the beach and they were feeding over my head above the scrub in the quarry/ hilside. They were feeding for about 7 or 8 minutes before heading off northwestwards.
About 1/2 hour later there was a party of about 25 Whimbrel came in off the sea at the Trelerw valley  (ie about 300m east of Caerbwdi).  Could hear them later on in the evening calling up on the fields behind our house ...... a sure sign of spring as there is always a time when Whimbrel use those fields on passage.
