It looks like the pair of Whitefronts may have finally left. They were first seen on the airfield on the 5th. of April.
The 'wow' factor for today was a flock of 24 Ringed Plover sharing a runway with 8 Whimbrel.
5 Swifts were hawking low over the north end, and there were Wheatears, looking a little bedraggled, everywhere. They seem to be drawn to the piles of boulders put in place by the National Parks . I have previously counted as many as 14 just on one boulder pile - can Ramsey beat that?.
