St Govans (cont)
I bashed my BTO chat square at 0600 this am - bitterly cold wind, Richard's wheatears (by the sounds of it outside my square - typically the best bits of habitat are outside the square) were probably keeping their heads down. The only wheatear I saw was a male perched in the middle of a large stand of gorse, pretending to be a stonechat. I think there's a pair nesting in one of those dry stone features.I did see about 10 wheatears, all but one females, later on at at around 12.30 dodging about the rocks just east of Broadhaven South - just to the left of the chough in Richard's banner photo.
