Coming back from Strumble yesterday (8 Scoter ) just along the straight bit leading from the sea, an explosion of birds, corvids and starlings spreading like shrapnel denoted the presence of something very scary.
Proceeding slowly I searched the sky for whatever had sparked the feathered flurry, almost running over the culprit mantling on the road a few yards in front of me.
I stopped and was confronted by the glaring eye of a Gos, with what looked like a Jackdaw in its talons. As I fumbled to get my camera from the back seat it took off with its intended meal heading for "Richards Valley"
Apex Predator!
