Info Post
Groups of 6-10 razorbills close in, synchronized diving and grunting along Goultrop Roads. A few shags fishing in the shallow bays. In the woodland before Borough Head, half a dozen chiffchaff, great tit, chaffinch and blackbirds all singing and a pair of noisy jays. Group of 4 Yellowhammers - in the bracken scrub near Ticklas Point. 2 others in hedge above. About a dozen Stonechats evenly scattered in the scrub/gorse. Male Kestrel hovering over the valley at Mill Haven and seen on return perched on cliff edge, also pair of chough digging away on path above Mill Haven. Single Chiffchaff singing in valley. Two buzzards and 20 gulls in ploughed field picking up food items. A raven almost gagging on a large very bloody prey, looked like a tail-less rat, eventually flew off with it protruding from beak. Two skylarks near St Brides. Big hatch of grey midges and small beetles, pipits having a field day along cliff edges, bloodynose beetles (?) mating everywhere. Party of 6 Canada geese heading off to roost on Stack Rocks.
