Info Post
Spoke to Richard, the farmer at Clerkenhill, this morning. They have NOT had falconers flying large birds of prey there in the past few months. On Thursday he spent the day ploughing fields to the S of the A40 just S/W of Clerkenhill, he had 6 Buzzards & 2 Red Kites following the plough for part of the day. At one point in the morning, he had what he describes as an obviously larger bird (larger than Red Kite) that appeared washed golden in the sunlight, obviously feathered legs and a large hooked bill. Whatever it is, it is still evidently in the area...
