In St Florence this morning it was very spring like once the early morning fog had cleared. This Wren gathering nesting material clearly thought so too. Nearby 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers were chasing each other around whilst another one drummed repeatedly close by. Several Chiffchaffs were singing as well as Chaffinches, Great and BlueTits and a couple of Long-tailed Tits were clearly paired up.
Buzzards have been displaying overhead in the last few days and this afternoon a Peregrine soared over. Plenty of insects about too - see the Pembrokeshire Wildlife blog.
A male Brambling in the garden briefly a couple of days ago shows that winter has not completely gone yet.
