I was about to take another shot of this Stonechat, when suddenly another bird appeared in the view-finder. A Dartford Warbler appeared from nowhere and joined the Stonechat on the same Gorse bush. In the excitement I got the focus all wrong, but it does however demonstrate how these two species appear to enjoy each others company.
This liaison is not fully understood, but from the Dartford Warblers point of view, it could be enjoying an intruder alarm system for free.
