Keen to practice digiscoping, I arrived at the Deer park after work at 6.45 pm. I met Lucy from Lockley Lodge, who told me the Hoopoe was still there on the track close to the lookout. Imagine my horror to find 2 young children making what seemed an immense amount of noise & chucking stones into the surrounding gorse. Of course said Hoopoe wasn`t there. So all I could do was clench my teeth & watch the moonrise!
