Colour - ringed Med. Gulls

The challenge of reading colour-rings is back!
Teifi;-
This evening, Wendy & I experienced the frustration of viewing a 2nd sum. Med. Gull sporting a white ring on it's left leg. The bird was just about close enough to read as it moved up the sand as the tide came in, but due to the wind direction the bird always stood such that the butt of the ring edges faced us not the lettering!!
Tomorrows efforts may involve BREAD/CHIPS/??
This looked like one of y'days birds, the 3 ads' having moved on?
Also 2 calling Whimbrel dropped into the Curlew roost.
All juv. Shelduck(30) have been seen today at their various points.
