Teifi this am

Teifi;-
On the way to the Teifi, at the roundabout I watched a f. Sparrowhawk catching then struggling with a Collared Dove! on the verge.
Common Sands. 11 at Jewsons & 1 on the river on the reserve. c200 Black-headed Gulls around the estuary this am. 2 Cetti's singing on the reserve.
Shelduck, the 1 & 4 juvs with their respective parents, & the 2 large creches seemed as usual (16 & 9 respectively).
This looks like a very good year for them here, how are other young doing? Nevern est. had 3 & the Gann c7 recently. I assume Jane H. is carrying out the Cleddau counts?

Well done Derek A. with the 2 Green Woodpeckers, a notable sighting of perhaps? our rarest breeding bird??
