Kingfishers

A small addition to Sash's posting. The River Anghof joins the Western Cleddau at Wolfscastle and goes past my garden a mile and a half upstream. I don't often see Kingfishers on the river (many possible reasons including access)however about 5 years ago a Kingfisher spent August at my pond and there's been one each summer since, gradually extending its stay to December. This year one (sometimes two recently) arrived on 21st June and will be here daily until - well we'll see.
