Excellent day on Skomer. Highlights were 3 Porpoises just off Martin's Haven (2ad. 1 calf). Minimum of 2 Common Dolphin's further out under a flock of 30 or so diving Gannets. Wendell Thomas had another 7 Porpoises off Skomer Head.
On the bird front c.40 Common Scoter passed while waiting for the boat out and on the island 5 Little Owls seen including 2 Juvs, 2 Short Eared Owl, a Juv Ring Ouzel (Morris North and Wendell Thomas), a flock of 14 Chough. At The Wick plenty of Puffins present bringing in beakloads of Sand Eels. Loads of Kittiwakes, a few Fulmars and just one or two Guillemots present.
