Pec Sands

The Pec. Sands was showing at 4-30, I would advise anybody going to see the bird to take a scope, if they have one, as it spends most of the time in the grass on the far bank of the pool with only its dark beady eye and pale based bill showing. Patience payed off eventually when the bird started feeding in full view on the edge of the pool. I was surprised by the lack of cuckoos calling in what seemed ideal habitat as we seem to have a reasonable population on the St.Davids peninsular this year.
