Seems Lapland Buntings keep following me around - at least two in the stubble field immediately behind the car park at Freshwater West at 1.30pm today, one seen quite well eventually, the other heard calling in flight. May have been more, difficult to know as over 60 Skylarks here and when they land they can be hard to see. 30+ Linnets in the field edge, with 20+ Greenfinch which was nice to see.
The Crane was still viewable distantly from Corseside Nursery early afternoon. Earlier, 2 Tufted Duck, 1 Pochard, 12 Goldeneye and 2 Goosander at Bosherston, and brief views of an Otter on the central arm. Several Long-tailed Tit flocks, several Goldcrests, and lovely views of Nuthatch and Coal Tit at the Grassy Bridge coming to feed on some seed left out on the end of the bridge wall.
