3 Velvet Scoters with 60 Common Scoters in St Bride's Bay this afternoon. They were best seen from the coast path north of Broadhaven at SM860146. Also a 1st winter Med gull on the rocks at Broadhaven and 2 Great Northern Divers out in the bay to the north. Another 30 Common Scoter from Druidstone.
At some other sites -
The Spotted Redshank was showing well at Llangwm Pill.
At Rosemarket sewage works there were 2 pale Chiffs, interesting to see to try to sort out what subspecies they are.
Newgale marsh - 4 Med gulls (2 ad, a 2nd w and a 1st w) and 3 Wigeon.
Plumstone mountain - brilliant views of 2 male Hen harriers flying around for about 20 minutes. A ringtail Hen Harrier dropped in to roost shortly after the males went down. Also a Goshawk, Sparrowhawk and some Buzzards. A good number of starlings but their display was quite low on the far side of the plantation.
